Annual Teleconference Series: The monthly series of ECFC teleconferences provide a unique and valuable opportunity to receive in-depth briefings on important and timely topics by experts from ECFC’s Technical Advisory Commitee and key decision-makers in government.

July Teleconference:The U.S. Department of Labor recently released model notices an employer can use to fulfill its requirement to send Exchange Notices. In this teleconference, Mark Stember, Esq., member of the ECFC Technical Advisory Committee and leader of the Health and Welfare and Employee Benefits Legal Alert team with Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton, will lead you through Exchange Notice requirement and distribution and content issues, along with typical questions that employers will receive about the notices.

In addition to our primary focus on Exchange Notices, Mark Stember will also provide
a first look at DOMA and its impact on FSAs, HRAs, HSAs, and health coverage in general.

Cancellation and Other Policies:
For individual teleconferences - cancellations will include a $50 administrative fee for a refund. To avoid the $50 administrative fee, participants may elect to transfer the cancelled teleconference date to one of the remaining teleconferences (for December, transferring to the following January is permitted).

Continuing Education Information:
This teleconference series is worth a total of 20 CE units. Each session is worth 2 CE units towards FCS, CFC/ACFC, and/or CFCI/ACFCI eligibility or re-certification. Registered participants will earn CE units as the year progresses.

For COBRA CE units, please contact ECFC as session topics determine continuing education units.

For verification purposes, ONLY registered participants will receive continuing education units for the 2013 ECFC Teleconference Series.
