There are four different classes of membership to choose from at the ECFC. You can learn more about what each membership class has to offer, by clicking one of the 4 categories shown below:
- Industry Membership is available to third party administrators, plan service providers, employee benefit consultants, card processing companies and associations, insurance carriers, banks, industry software vendors, payroll processing companies, and other members of the flexible compensation industry.
- Plan Sponsor Membership is available to employers who offer, promote or are interested in tax-advantaged flexible compensation plans. Individuals or entities that are eligible for Industry Membership as a third party administrator, plan service provider, employee benefit consultant, card processing company or association, insurance carrier, bank, industry software vendor, payroll processing company, or who are employed by, own or are members of such an individual or entity, are not eligible for Plan Sponsor Membership.
- Individual Membership is available to individuals who are employees of state and federal government, educators, and students. Individuals who are eligible for Industry Membership as a third party administrator, plan service provider, employee benefit consultant, card processing company or association, insurance carrier, bank, industry software vendor, payroll processing company, or who are employed by, own or are members of such an entity, are not eligible for Individual Membership.
- Associate Membership is available to individuals and entities who provide advice and ancillary services to Plan Sponsors and/or Industry Members or who are otherwise interested in the flexible compensation field, including independent insurance agents and brokers, health care practitioners, CPAs, actuaries, and employee benefit lawyers. Individuals or entities that are eligible for Industry Membership as a third party administrator, plan service provider, employee benefit consultant, card processing company or association, insurance carrier, bank, industry software vendor, payroll processing company, or who are employed by, own or are members of such an individual or entity, are not eligible for Associate Membership.
